Getting here, being here.
The six questions people ask the bar most often before they come the first time.
By car
Park behind the building, beside the laneway. Free. The two street spots out front turn over fast on weekends, slower on weekdays.
By transit
The 110 bus stops at Liverpool, two minutes south. The GO at Pickering Station is a twelve-minute walk along Kingston Road.
Accessibility
Front step is two inches. Door opens out, holds open on its own. One accessible washroom, gendered single-stall.
Wifi + outlets
Wifi yes, password on the chalkboard. Outlets at the window counter and the back wall. Two-hour rule during morning peak.
With kids
Kids welcome, high chair behind the bar, ask. Stroller fits inside if you bring it in past the front step.
With dogs
Dogs welcome on the leash. Water bowl outside the front door from April through October.
House Rules
The short list.
- Rule I
Come hungry.
Pastries usually sell out by noon. The almond cake goes first.
- Rule II
Bring the dog.
Leashed dogs are welcome on the patio. Water bowl by the door.
- Rule III
Leave the laptop.
No laptops past 11am, no Wi-Fi password gates. We want the room to feel like a room.
- Rule IV
Be on time.
We close at 3 sharp. Last pour-over goes in at 2:30.
